Why 15°C matters. Below 10°C, the cremasteric reflex pulls the testes upward, reducing surface contact and undermining cooling efficacy. Standard ice packs and frozen gels start well below this threshold. Heart is calibrated to the thermal sweet spot identified in the literature (Garolla et al.) — warm enough for continuous contact, cool enough to offset ambient heat exposure across a full sauna session.
